A magical plague known as the Withering Blight began to spread across Thaloria. Plants wilted, livestock weakened, and even people succumbed to a wasting sickness that left them frail and despondent. The Blight originated from the Blighted Grove but spread rapidly, afflicting farms and isolated villages. Druids and healers struggled to contain it, but the disease resisted all efforts to cure it. It was later rumored that Malachor himself had engineered the Blight to keep Thaloria’s population in a state of weakness and dependency, further reinforcing his dark dominion.
