The once-mighty Twilight Courts, home to the most ancient and noble of dragon lineages, suffered a profound blow during what came to be known as the Twilight Collapse. Internal power struggles and betrayal split the courts into warring factions. Ambitious dragons vied for supremacy in a chaotic bid to seize control of dwindling resources and influence. The Courts’ disintegration signaled the beginning of the end for the cohesive dragon empire, and without their stabilizing influence, kobold city-states and guilds also began to fracture.
