In the final year of the fourth century, the fractured remnants of the Red Rebellion, the Bloodmoon Covenant, and rogue resistance cells came together for a final stand at Emberfell, a volcanic fortress rumored to be touched by ancient elemental magic. They hoped the fortress's fiery defenses would provide protection against Malachor's forces. Despite their efforts, Malachor's legions overwhelmed Emberfell, and its defenders were slaughtered.
