The world was shaken by an event called the Emberglass Cataclysm, in which an ancient draconic relic was accidentally activated during a ritual at the Halls of Glimmer. The ritual, meant to channel the power of the Luminal Veins, instead unleashed a wave of arcane fire that transformed parts of the plains into a glassy, ember-streaked wasteland. This disaster forced both dragons and kobolds to reconsider the dangers of ancient relics and magic, leading to stricter regulations enforced by the Obsidian Council and the dragon courts.
