The Unbinding of the Obsidian Thrones

Third Age (19370)

The sentient Obsidian Thrones that had emerged in the previous millennium began to exert their influence more overtly, manipulating key figures and sowing discord among the kingdoms. A significant event known as the Unbinding occurred when one of the Thrones was destroyed by a rogue band of dwarven warriors. This act released a wave of dark energy that destabilized nearby leyline nodes and brought about an age of paranoia and shadow wars.
