Malachor's forces discovered one of the main cells of the Red Rebellion hiding in Blackrock Caverns, a vast underground network filled with treacherous paths and arcane traps. Led by Morvok the Abyssal Herald, Malachor's legions attacked the rebels in a brutal skirmish that lasted days. Though the rebels ultimately suffered severe losses, they managed to trap Morvok in a rockslide, weakening Malachor's forces in the region. The Battle of Blackrock Descent became a symbol of defiance, showing that Malachor's lieutenants were not invincible.
