In one of the most desperate and tragic battles of the Fourth Age's early years, the defenders of Dawnspire gathered a coalition of warriors, mages, and even druids to launch an all-out assault against Malachor's forces in hopes of creating a foothold of light in a world of darkness. The battle was brutal, and though the defenders inflicted heavy casualties, they were eventually overwhelmed. This final attempt at reclaiming the land withered, and Thaloria entered the second century of the Fourth Age with little hope of a unified resistance.
