Ignis released a surge of energy that wrapped the world in a fiery shroud, an event known as The Veil of Magma. This event seared a ring of flame around the horizon, leading to the formation of the Emberheart Expanse and the first sightings of fireborn imps, the progenitors of all future fire elementals.
