In response to the growing threat of rogue arcane groups following the previous millennium’s upheavals, the Great Accord of Mages was established. This alliance between the Ivory Circle, elven leyline scholars, and dwarven rune-smiths sought to enforce stricter regulations on the use of powerful relics and magical practices. While this brought temporary stability, it also sowed seeds of rebellion among those who felt oppressed by such controls.
