The War of the Sky Behemoths

First Age (1340)

A colossal conflict erupted between Zephyrion and a rogue air elemental known as Aetherdrake, the Wind-Eater. This mighty serpent-like creature challenged Zephyrion's dominion over the Aetherian Vortex. Their aerial battles lasted for decades, during which massive chunks of the Floaing Peaks of Aerion were shattered, altering the landscape permanently. The defeat of Aetherdrake solidified Zephyrion's control and added the legendary Skyfall Spires -- columns of fallen peaks -- to Thaloria's landmarks.
