Tinker

You are a fixer, mender, or improviser, traveling from town to town to repair pots, sharpen knives, or patch up contraptions. Curiosity drives you to tinker with all manner of objects, sometimes creating strange but functional gadgets.

Ability Scores: Choose A or B: (A) Intelligence +2, Dexterity +1; or (B) Intelligence, Dexterity, and Wisdom +1

Skill Proficiencies: Investigation and Sleight of Hand

Tool Proficiency: Tinker's Tools

Equipment: You begin with 50 GP that may only be spent on items from the Adventuring Gear and Tools lists. This gold cannot be used to purchase weapons, armor, or mounts and vehicles. Any unspent funds may be kept in a belt pouch for future expenses in the course of an adventure.

Feature: Field Patch

Once per short rest, you can temporarily repair a broken mundane item (like a snapped bowstring or cracked gear) so it works for up to 12 hours. You do not require a skill check of any kind to make this repair.
