Talandra's holy symbol is a pair of balanced scales with radiant silver plates, suspended from a staff of gleaming white and encircled by a golden wreath of olive branches symbolizing peace and wisdom. This symbol is worn as a pendant by her clerics and carved into courthouses, palaces, and even protective wards around sacred places.
The faith of Talandra is highly structured and hierarchical, reflecting her teachings of order and law. Her temples, known as Bastions of Judgment, serve as both places of worship and centers of law, governance, and diplomacy.
The High Arbiter
The supreme spiritual and legal leader of the faith, tasked with ensuring that Talandra's laws are followed across the land. They are considered the final authority in matters of divine justice.
Judges of the Dawn
Senior clerics and paladins who oversee legal matters, arbitrate disputes, and issue divine rulings. They often serve as judges, advisors, and defenders of the innocent.
Peacewardens
Paladins and defenders sworn to uphold Talandra's law by force of arms. They are skilled warriors trained in diplomacy and combat, serving as protectors and enforcers of justice.
Oathkeepers
Traveling priests who act as mediators, treaty-brokers, and legal advisors. They wander Thaloria, offering guidance in disputes and helping draft fair and binding agreements.
Initiates of the Balance
Young acolytes and aspiring lawkeepers who study law, diplomacy, and faith under senior clergy. Their training often includes time spent as scribes, peace envoys, and court assistants.
Lady Caelis Judicar (past)
Role: Legendary High Arbiter
Legacy: Lady Caelis established the Accords of Eternal Peace, a landmark treaty ending the Seven War Marches during the Fifth Age. Her unwavering commitment to fair negotiations ensured peace for centuries. Her Staff of Judicar remains one of the faith's most sacred relics.
Serana Whiteglory (past)
Role: Peacewarden and Battle-Saint
Legacy: During the Fourth Age, Serana led the Shieldmarch Campaign, pushing back abyssal legions while issuing protective orders to save war-torn villages. Her enchanted shield, Everguard, now rests above the central altar of Bastionhold Keep.
Varic the Even-Handed (past)
Role: Judge of the Dawn
Legacy: Varic is remembered as the first mortal to hold the Judgment Seat of Talandra, presiding over the court where even gods were said to be held accountable for their oaths. His Codex of Divine Law still serves as the foundation for Thaloria's modern judicial system.
Archjudge Renivar Teloris (present)
Role: Current High Arbiter
Legacy: Renivar is a towering, authoritative presence within Talandra's faith. His rulings have shaped the political landscape of Ilyndor and Aurensul, earning him both respect and fear. He is known for "The Concord of Silent Blades," a secret treaty that ended a deadly assassin war in the shadows.
The Silver Herald Amira Velora (present)
Role: Oathkeeper and Diplomatic Envoy
Legacy: A famed diplomat and peacemaker, Amira has successfully brokered peace between rival factions of the Stormmarch Republic and the Redspire Compact. Her voice is considered as powerful as a blade, and she is credited with saving thousands through her silver-tongued negotiations.
Talandra's faith is deeply woven into the legal and political systems of Ilyndor, Aurensul, and the Stormmarch Republic. Her temples serve as courts of law, diplomatic embassies, and fortresses where rulers and commoners alike seek guidance, protection, and justice.
Talandra's followers work closely with those of Theris (justice), Elora (knowledge), and Thanor (valor and war) when law, wisdom, and righteous combat are needed. They often clash with the followers of Sarna (trickery) and Xaros (tempests), viewing their chaotic and unpredictable natures as threats to stability.
Despite the withdrawal of the gods, Talandra's faith remains strong, though her followers face new trials:

Talandra's faith endures through the ages as a symbol of order, fairness, and peace achieved through just law. Her followers defend the weak, arbitrate disputes, and preserve hope through their unyielding commitment to justice.
