Malachor

The Endbringer

Group (Pantheon): The Void Covenant

Domains: Corruption, Undeath, Destruction

Alignment: Chaotic Evil

Holy Symbol

Malachor's holy symbol is a spiked, broken crown wreathed in dark, cursed flames, symbolizing the fall of kingdoms and the inevitability of destruction. Its jagged points drip with black ichor, representing eternal suffering and conquest. His followers wear this symbol as iron pendants or engrave it into their weapons and armor, often branded into their flesh as a mark of absolute submission.

Core Tenets

  1. Destroy the Weak. The strong have the right to rule. The weak exist only to serve or be consumed.
  2. Rule Through Power. Power is the only law. Use force, manipulation, and domination to carve your place in the world.
  3. Feed the Abyss. Sacrifice lives, lands, and even souls to strengthen Malachor's grasp on reality.
  4. Break the Chains of Light. Annihilate all order, peace, and hope. All things must fall into shadow and decay.

Church Structure

Malachor's cult is known as the Abyssal Dominion, a brutal hierarchy where power is earned only through conquest and cruelty. Leadership is based on dominance, and the weak are eliminated or enslaved. The faith spreads like a dark plague, embedding itself in corrupted cities, warbands, and twisted magical cabals.

The Voice of Ruin
The supreme priest and mortal vessel of Malachor's will. This individual serves as the high commander of the Abyssal Dominion, wielding dark powers in Malachor's name.

Lords of Decay
Corrupt warlords, necromancers, and generals who command legions of undead, demonic soldiers, and corrupted mortals. Each is marked by dark gifts bestowed through blood pacts.

Dreadweavers
Abyssal sorcerers and warlocks who craft twisted relics, forge cursed spells, and summon Malachor's endless horrors from the Abyss. They hold vast knowledge of forbidden magic.

Deathbound Heralds
Champions of Malachor, wielding enchanted weapons and dark blessings. They serve as elite enforcers, carrying out his will through conquest and slaughter.

Abyssborn Thralls
Broken mortals, enslaved souls, and mindless servants bound through dark rituals. They form the bulk of Malachor's armies, cursed with eternal servitude even after death.

Presence Across the World

Though Malachor was banished at the end of the Fourth Age, his influence persists in corrupted lands such as the Abyssal Wastes, Blighted Hills, and the ruins of fallen cities like Velkar's Descent. His cults work in secret, spreading despair and plotting his return.

Relationship with Other Faiths

Malachor's followers stand opposed to all gods of life, light, and hope, especially Vara (life and healing), Theris (justice), and Maelis (compassion). His most bitter rival is Thanor (war and valor), whose faithful still fight against Malachor's dark legacy.

Modern Challenges

Despite his banishment, Malachor's cultists actively seek to restore his power by:

About Malachor

Malachor, known as the Endbringer, is the ancient Abyssal Lord of Corruption, Conquest, and Undeath. He is the embodiment of ruin, destruction, and endless hunger, driven by an insatiable desire to consume and dominate all existence. Unlike other dark gods or forces of evil, Malachor seeks not just power but absolute obliteration -- a world where only his dark will remains. His reign during the Fourth Age left scars on both the world of Thaloria and its people that can never be erased.

Malachor is depicted as a colossal, armored figure shrouded in blackened steel and twisted abyssal runes, with a face locked behind an imposing war mask with a burning crimson gaze. His armor constantly seeps dark mist, symbolizing decay and inevitability. He wields Dreadspire, a cursed greatsword forged from the souls of defeated kings, and is often surrounded by the broken chains of his conquered enemies.

Malachor, the Endbringer, remains one of the most feared and destructive forces in Thaloria's dark history. Though defeated and banished, his shadow continues to linger, a constant threat to the mortal world.
