Hobgoblins are regal and militant, embodying the ideals of strength through unity, honor through conquest, and order through discipline. They trace their origins to the ancient wars of the Second Age, when they rose from brutal warbands into a proud, military-driven people whose legacy echoes through history. Hobgoblins believe in strategic dominance and collective power, balancing martial prowess with political cunning and ironclad traditions.
Hobgoblins are tall and imposing, standing between six and seven feet tall, with broad, muscular builds. Their skin tones range from deep reds and burnt oranges to dusky grays and ashen browns, often marked by scars earned in combat. Dark hair is worn in long braids, tight knots, or shaven styles reflecting rank or tradition. Their eyes are intense shades of amber, scarlet, or fiery yellow, gleaming with calculated focus. Hobgoblins take pride in armor and weapon craftsmanship, often decorating their gear with clan emblems, medals, and war trophies.
Though their ancient empires have fallen, hobgoblins have never abandoned their militaristic legacy. Many serve as commanders, mercenary captains, or strategists-for-hire, bringing order and structure wherever they go. Their unyielding honor and indomitable spirit make hobgoblins respected -- if feared -- allies and formidable enemies. To face a hobgoblin legion is to face unstoppable precision, where every movement, strike, and formation is calculated toward total victory.
