Races

Dwarf

Dwarves are a resilient and proud race, forged by the stone and tempered by unbreakable traditions. They emerged during the early Third Age, shaped by the elemental forces that carved the world's first mountains and caverns. Known for their craftsmanship, warrior culture, and unyielding loyalty, dwarves have built vast underground cities and fortified holds that stand as monuments to their enduring legacy.

Though often seen as stoic and stubborn, dwarves are deeply committed to their clans, crafts, and ancestral duties. They revere stone, steel, and legacy, believing that every action leaves an indelible mark on history. To be a dwarf is to endure hardship, forge greatness, and defend one's people until the last breath.

Dwarves are short and powerfully built, standing between four and five feet tall, with broad shoulders and muscular frames. Their skin tones range from earthy browns and stone-gray hues to warm bronze or ashen white, reflecting the mountains they call home. Hair and beards are symbols of pride, worn long and elaborately braided, often decorated with beads, runes, and metal clasps engraved with ancestral symbols. Their eyes gleam like precious gems in shades of blue, amber, emerald, or iron-gray, reflecting their deep connection to the earth.

Dwarves remain guardians of ancient strongholds, protecting both their mountain homes and ancestral relics. They have played a pivotal role in shaping the world's greatest kingdoms, lending their craftsmanship, engineering skills, and military might to some of Thaloria's most iconic cities and fortresses. Their skill at weapon-forging, armor-crafting, and runework is unmatched, making dwarves both highly sought allies and dangerous enemies. Though traditions weigh heavily upon them, dwarves believe that only through hardship is greatness forged -- a belief that has ensuredtheir survival across the ages.
